Ingredients:
- 200 g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic (thinly sliced)
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp red chili flakes (optional, for spice)
- Salt (to taste)
- Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Cooking Steps:
1. Boil a pot of water with 1 tsp salt.
2. Add spaghetti and cook 8–10 minutes until al dente.
3. Save ½ cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
4. Heat olive oil in a pan over low heat.
5. Add sliced garlic and cook until golden (do not burn).
6. Add chili flakes and stir for a few seconds.
7. Put the drained spaghetti into the pan.
8. Add some saved pasta water and toss well.
9. Mix in chopped parsley and season with salt.
10. Serve on a plate and top with Parmesan cheese if desired.
